We organize training and events related to the Sea and the Oceans
Confirmation of booking will be provided upon receipt of a completed booking form and receipt of 155€ non-refundable deposit. The remaining will be paid on during check in.
Payment can be made with bank transference or cash.
Bank transfers must be sent in euro currency and bank charges are for the account of the client.
A payment advice note will be issued upon booking. An invoice will be issued upon full payment.
Client has 24 hours to do the payment (deposit) after email confirmation. After 24 hours period Atlantic Explorers reserves the right to accept another booking without prior notice.
CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
CANCELLATION BY ATLANTIC EXPLORERS
Any booking fees you have paid, including your deposit, will be refunded in full. No liability shall be attached to Atlantic Explorers beyond refunding the fee paid for the cancelled Sailing Expedition or unused portion if the trip has been started. No payments shall be made for incidental costs. As above, we recommend you take holiday cancellation or personal travel insurance.
Atlantic Explorers shall not be responsible for any unused air tickets or unused portions of air tickets or unused services of any kind.
DELAY OR FAILURE TO ARRIVE
If a participant is likely to be delayed beyond the start time of the trip, Atlantic Explorers must be informed as soon as possible. It is at the discretion of the skipper if the fees paid can be transferred to a future expedition. If a participant fails to arrive, for any reason whatsoever including illness, and Atlantic Explorers has not been notified, the trip fees will be forfeit.
Prices are in Euros. The price excludes bank fees.

We ask you to inform Atlantic Explorers upon booking of any health issues that may affect your suitability for participating in a sailing trip. If you are taking medicine you should inform the captain your health condition.
For all the practical IYT courses you will need a medical check and declaration.
No liability is accepted for participators personal possessions left in Atlantic Explorers premises; this includes on the marina and onboard vessels used by Atlantic Explorers. No liability is accepted for customers whilst in, or on, any Atlantic Explorers property or property used by Atlantic Explorers or whilst embarking or disembarking any vessel used by Atlantic Explorers. All customers take part in any trip at their own risk. The act of signing for a trips implies that the customer has understood and accepted the terms and conditions of Atlantic Explorers herein, including the risk disclaimer above and liability as explained in this document.
Itinerary can be changed according to the weather forecast.
Atlantic Explorers shall not be liable for any expenses incurred due to Force Majeure, including, weather conditions, strikes, and acts of Government, war or any other occurrence beyond our control.
During our organized trips (Mile Building, Expeditions) basic provisions are provided for meals during hours onboard. Meals and drinks onshore are not included.
Atlantic Explorers shall not be liable for any accidents that occur whilst a client is under the influence of alcohol. The consumption of alcohol is not permitted whilst underway.
Smoking is not permitted in any interior space on board any vessel or in any building used by Atlantic Explorers. Please respect the rule that no cigarette butts be thrown into the sea.
Recreational drugs of any kind are strictly forbidden onboard any vessel or in any property used by Atlantic Explorers. If found, or suspected, the customer will immediately leave the vessel and no monies will be refunded, nor any additional travel expenses reimbursed.
Atlantic Explorers uses vessels that are well maintained, however, if breakages or mechanical failures occur we ask for your patience and understanding that this can be part of boating. Every effort will be made to ensure the vessel is repaired at the earliest opportunity. If this is not possible, an alternative vessel will be made available. Atlantic Explorers shall not be held responsible for any time the customer feels has been lost, whilst every attempt is made to address any problems that may occur.
You must accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself and any members of your party. We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to terminate without further notice the course arrangements of any client who refuses to comply with the instructions or orders of the skipper or Atlantic Explorers staff members or whose behaviour or competence in their opinion is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to their crew, other customers, staff any third party or property.
If irresponsible or negligent behaviour of a costumer leads to damage or loss of any item or boat property, the costumer is responsible for replacement or repair. Costumers are requested to act with a duty of care and respect for Atlantic Explorers property and the vessel. Damages and breakages, howsoever caused, must immediately be notified to the skipper/Atlantic Explorers.
Notice of any complaint should be made to your skipper at the time of the complaint arising. If the complaint cannot be resolved onboard, then the complaint should be made in writing to the responsible of Atlantic Explorers and will be dealt with as a matter of importance.

Mooring fees are included in your Sailing Expedition.
An administrative fee may be applied in case of: creating profile on IYT website, send books or other material by mail, course cancelation, invoice changing or cancelation, post lost/forgotten material/equipment by mail.
It is strongly advised for costumers to obtain their own insurance for sickness, illness, loss of trip fees, loss of personal effects, breakages or damages to the boat, cancellation or curtailment, travel disruption or delay, accident onboard or any other reason the student considers appropriate for their activity and well-being.
Whilst the Atlantic Explorers carries full public liability insurance you should satisfy yourself that you are covered for personal injury and cancellation insurance.
It is according to Portuguese and Spanish law that photographic identification is to be carried by all persons at all times.
PHOTOGRAPHS USED IN PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
You agree that any photographs taken during training, that may feature you, can be used by Atlantic Explorers for promotional purposes. Photographs will never be taken of minors.
Sailing Expeditions are not open under 18yo.
Any dispute should be brought to the attention of the skipper at the earliest opportunity to be resolved. In the event of a dispute not being settled by mutual agreement, it is agreed that this agreement (contract) shall be governed by the laws of Portugal and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Faro. It is further agreed that all agreements between customers, clients and students and staff of Atlantic Explorers shall be governed by Portuguese Law, even when the dispute occurs outside Portuguese territorial waters.
