Incredibly unique, inspiring and unlike anywhere else you will ever get to sail, this land is full of history, good food magical landscapes. See the historic heritage at its most beautiful, unique architecture and be part of what is a true adventure.
Cadiz Sailing Expedition is a good entry level if you are looking for your first “serious” navigation step. But a International Crew level>> will be desirable (not mandatory) do enrol for this expedition.

Sailing Expedition to Cadiz gives you the change to sail for 5 days the Gulf of Cadiz and landfall in Chipiona, Rota and/or Cadiz. The shallows on our arrival are populated by the famous yellow fin tuna and other species of tuna. Maybe we are lucky and catch one for dinner (if no vegans onboard).

What's the plan?

A plan is just a plan. We like to sail, we don't like to motor, so things could get off track sometimes. As sailors we are always depending on the weather conditions, everything is uncertain.

Nevertheless, here is the plan for the expedition:

Day 1

Check-in at 09:30 in the Olhão Marina and set up the boat. General instructions are given and safety conducts reviewed. Visit the local market for last fresh products.

After lunch we should be ready to slip the lines.

Day 2-4

We should landfall in Rota at this time. Here we will have time to visit Rota and Cadiz and rest.

Day 5-7

Sail back to Portugal. Due the SW wind normally we need to sail after lunch towards Vila Real de St António to pick up the land breeze (N winds) so we have a nice reach sailing back to Olhão.

Day 8

Arriving to Olhão lunch time

If you want to know more details about the plan and destinations please contact us here.

Seeing a full moon rising, from the sea, on the horizon is indeed very beautiful… a redish rising from the darkness. And with the clear sky that we had, we could also see the stars and constellations pretty well. Something to enjoy and contemplate.

Maria Sereda

The Cadiz expedition experience was way cooler than what I expected (and I expected a lot!). Sailing at night, hearing just the wind and the waves, seeing the stars above me and glowing plankton in the black water was the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced. The dolphins...
